Creating a product explainer video with some chutzpah

THE CHALLENGE

For many communities across the country, high school football is everything. It’s hope, optimism, your Friday night plans, a reason to get together. Oftentimes, high school football is an economy entirely in itself. But as the sports landscape has evolved, high school sports have fallen behind. Why? Analytics. Athlogic is a game-changing platform that is transforming the way high school football teams track and use stats. The team reached out to me to help create a product explainer video that was both clear and compelling.

THE SOLUTION

We followed a collaborative process to create a product video that would clearly explain features and benefits without being…well…boring. It was crucial that the explainer video matched the already-present brand tone and identity (snarky, confident, bold). First, we met for a “brand discovery” session, learning the ins-and-outs of the platform and company mission. Working with the Athlogic team, we then started with an outline and moved swiftly through the scriptwriting process — delivering a polished ~2 min script within one week. Minor edits were applied and the script was ready to go.


THE OUTCOME

As a result, Athlogic now has a clear, concise, and compelling product explainer video that accurately and quickly provides potential customers with a snapshot of the value they can deliver. Now, high school teams across the country can take their play to the next level.
